Why are some Muslims afraid to read?
What sort of faith tells a person 'dont read their books'?
What are you afraid of?
Dont you believe in Allah the Prophet Muhammad and Quran?
If you do not know about the beliefs of another person how do you approach them and give them Dawa, and what then qualifies you to give Dawa?
If you do not know about the mentality of someone you dislike or hate how can you justify the hate?
If you have Islam more than others should you not try and show them something of the truth in a pleasant way so that they may return to the straight path?
Does Allah not say 'call to the way with wisdom and good words'?
But what do some of us do....................the minute we hear that so and so is of a faith that we consider to be deviant we launch an attack, mock and call names like there is no tomorrow.
Did the Prophet Muhammad walk around Mecca and Medina calling people Kaafir and Munaafiq? Were they words he uttered after every third sentence? What sunna are people following?..........that of some so called scholar who seems to be doing more harm than good by issuing edicts of Kufr on a whole community of Muslims without differentiating between them?
The ignorance and confusion is breeding hatred and you are responsible if you do not do anything about it. And you are responsible if you continue to fan the flames of this hatred without a valid, researched reason. And you are responsible if you see an injustice and do nothing about it.
As for what certain books may contain, that also cannot be used against whole communities in a general way, as not everything that is written in text is neccesarily agreed upon, so verify it first.
