The Ahlul Bayt

Ahlul Bayt are the members of the Prophets family. They are of types, there is the type that are close in terms of blood relation and their are those who become members through marriage and may likewise become non Ahlul Bayt due to kufr or bad actions just as in the case of Noahs son or Lots wife. Being a member of the Ahlul Bayt such as being a wife or an Uncle etc is not an instant ticket to paradise nor a guarantee of salvation. Salman al Farsi is referred to as Ahlul Bayt and there was no blood or marriage tie, the tie was belief and obedience. The important factor then is belief, behaviour and obedience over everything else. But when blood relation, belief, behaviour, obedience and piety combine it becomes the superior type of Ahlul Bayt, as in the case of Ali, Fatima, Hassan and Husayn.(pbuh&f)
